How to adjust your teleport points and dollhouse view

Once you've created your first Space AI experience (or perhaps a few), you may want to refine the teleport points or adjust the dollhouse view to enhance your presentation.

What is a Teleport Point?

Teleport points are the locations within your experience where users can move to by selecting them. Typically, these correspond to main rooms or areas, such as:

  • Entry

  • Living Room

  • Dining Room

  • Bedrooms

Our system automatically identifies teleport points, but you can customise their locations or rename them to better suit your needs.

What is a Dollhouse View?

The dollhouse view is an external 3D perspective of your entire model, accessible by selecting "Dollhouse Mode" in the app. This view allows users to see the complete layout of the experience at once.

Best Practices for Dollhouse View

  • Ensure the entire model is visible from the initial view.

  • The pivot point (centre of rotation) should ideally be located at the centre of the experience for smooth navigation.

Example: In the Enviz demo experience NUI4, the pivot point is positioned centrally, and the entire experience is clearly visible in dollhouse mode.

To access dollhouse within the experience, select this button.

How to Edit Teleport Points and Dollhouse View

  1. Access the Enviz Portal

    • For the quickest access, open the project completion email for your experience.

    • Click the direct link at the bottom of the email to navigate to your project in the Enviz Portal.

  2. Edit Teleport Points and Dollhouse

    • Once in the portal, select the Dollhouse and Teleport Editor.

    • Follow the on-screen prompts to:

      • Adjust teleport point locations or rename them.

      • Reposition the pivot point for the dollhouse view.

  3. Save Your Changes

    • Ensure you click Save before exiting the editor. Changes are not automatically saved.

Troubleshooting Changes

If your edits are not showing in the app, check the following:

  • Save Confirmation: Verify that you clicked Save to publish your changes.

  • Restart the App: Restart the Enviz app on all devices to refresh the experience.

Is There a Limit to the Number of Teleport Points?

No, you can add as many teleport points as required for your experience.

What if My Changes Still Don’t Appear?

  • Ensure that the saved changes have been applied in the portal.
