As Enviz Space generates automated lighting we have provided you with a set of instructions to orientate your model so the lighting direction and shadows reflect your models location as close as possible.
Default Sun Orientation
In Enviz, North is by default set to the top of the screen, with the sun coming from the South, as if the model were located in the Northern Hemisphere.
Basic Shadow Simulation Setup
Set Date: August 24 (24/8)
Set Time: 9:45 AM
This provides a reasonably accurate shadow representation.
Model Orientation Guidelines
For Northern Hemisphere Users:
If your building model is already oriented with North directly up, no adjustment is needed.
The sun's direction and shadows will be accurately represented.
For Southern Hemisphere Users:
In Enviz, Solar North is directly down.
Rotate your model 180 degrees for an accurate sun and shadow representation.
Advanced Users β Geolocated Models
If your model is geolocated, the sun's position remains accurate regardless of North/South orientation changes in Enviz.
Northern Hemisphere: Treat North as up.
Southern Hemisphere: Treat North as down.
